To connect to RedPlaneta Spanish chat

Go to: http://www.redplaneta.com

The window will open looking like this. Click on one of the age groups.

You’ll then see this next screen. It may take some time for the gold-colored text entry screen to appear.  Wait for it. Then, in the "Nick" text entry box, fill in the name you want to use online.
Click on the "Conectar" button.


Then you’ll see this next screen.
On the left side, you see who's in the chat room.  In the large text window, you see the conversation, and the fact that you have entered the room.  Place your cursor into the text entry box along  the bottom, where it says "escribe aquí..." Delete those words and put in your own words instead.  "Hola!" is a good start.

Any time you want to change to a different chat room, just click on Inicio and start over again.


 
 

If you double-click on someone’s name in the left frame, that will open a private chat window. Or a private chat window may suddenly appear on your screen. If you want to talk to that person, go ahead and type an "hola!" in the text entry box along the bottom of that window.

When it’s time to print your chat, start by highlighting the chat text:


 

  1. Hold down the Ctrl button ("control") and hit the "c" button on your keyboard.
  2. Put your cursor inside a blank Word document.
  3. Hit Ctrl-v. That will paste the chat into the blank document.
  4. Be sure to put your name on it, and print it.
  5. Highlight words and phrases that you learned, and hand this in to Lonnie.
